I believe that a good teacher should be a master facilitator. They should create an atmosphere in which students can feel comfortable and able to perform at their very best. A good teacher encourages students to think independently, take initiative and never be afraid to ask questions.

My students likely consider me a bit zany and off-the-wall, but in a friendly and welcoming manner. I’d like to think my sense of irreverence in the classroom helps put students at ease, and the fun environment I create helps them feel less inhibited and unafraid of making mistakes.
